Welcome to CPOA SW Ontario, since 2000, our office has assisted the families of over 500+ strong Student-Athletes in the Caledonia Branford, Woodstock, St Thomas, London, Chatham, Sarnia, Windsor and all areas in between Navigate the recruiting process and assist families every step of the way, receive financial aid from Colleges and Universities in Canada and the U.S.

Mission Statement: To provide our Client, the Student-Athlete and their Families, the exposure to Canadian and U.S. University and College Coaches, the exposure necessary to attract Academic and Athletic Scholarship interest, Bursaries, Grants and work programs, all for the purpose of providing the best quality education at the least cost to their family. Our Goal is to guide these families through the confusing Canadian and US recruiting process, providing them with the necessary information they need to make an educated decision on what school is the most comfortable fit, Academically, Athletically, Geographically and Financially for their Son or Daughter, with no preference to either Canadian or US schools, but ultimately what is the best choice for each individual Student-Athlete.

Our Personal Experience:

When it comes to University recruiting, we both understand exactly what is involved, in 1997 we were approached by the previous CPOA representative to enroll our Daughter Carri into the CPOA program. Carri was a nationally rank Track Athlete and an excellent Student, with National and International expierence.

Like the majority of Canadian families unfamiliar with the University recruiting process, we felt that Carri’s success on the National and International Track scene would guarantee her a scholarship. We decided the CPOA program and expense was not necessary and we could do this ourselves. Little did we realize the amount of research and work required to make her dream come true. After six months of sending out letters and film, we received only 20 responses, mostly “Thanks we call you, don’t call us” definitely not what we expected.

We then made the decision to get on board with the local office of CPOA, Carri’s profile was initially sent to 519 US and Cdn schools.

“The response was overwhelming”

CPOA answered all our questions every step of the way, in all Carri heard from over 150 school, receiving FULL Scholarship offers from nearly half. Carri eventually signed with the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana a NCAA Div. 1 program. She Graduated with a degree in Business Administration.

The success we had with Carri, encouraged us to enroll our Son, Kevin (Football) in the CPOA program early in his High School career. Same assistance, same success, Kevin attended Drake University a Div. 1AA Football program and again Graduated with a degree in Business.

I tried and could not do this myself. I failed Miserably!!
